The owner of a riding stable falls off his horse while out riding with his daughter and dies. On closer inspection, however, the fatal riding accident turns out to be a murder. There are indications that the perpetrator was waiting for his victim at the scene of the crime. Jana Winter (Natalia Wörner), Matthias Hamm (Ralph Herforth) and Alwa Sörensen (Lisa Werlinder) take on the case. The pressure of the investigation increases when rumours of a series of attacks on Reiter start doing the rounds.
