RISE | Visual Effects Studios was founded in Berlin in 2007 by Sven Pannicke, Robert Pinnow, Markus Degen and Florian Gellinger. The plan was to concentrate on German TV and feature film effects with a small, hand-picked team - but this plan failed. Today, the award-winning company is one of the largest VFX studios in Central Europe with around 240 permanent employees and 70 freelancers in Berlin, London, Munich, Stuttgart and Cologne. RISE is a "partner in crime" for directors such as Tom Tykwer, Guy Ritchie, Gore Verbinski, studios such as Marvel, Netflix, Sony Pictures, Europacorp and is also producing more and more animated films. The sister production company RISE PICTURES develops its own content and co-produces films and series for an international audience. RISE works on episodic series as well as television and feature films, from early concept to mastering, concept art and previs, every day on set, producing effects and animation, as consultants for the digital intermediate process. The supervisors are reliable, creative partners for directors, production designers and cinematographers - from the first to the last step of the journey.
