Constantin Film has gained a prominent addition to its production team: Magdalena Prosteder will join the company from 1 November 2025, bringing with her extensive experience from the German and international film industry.

"Developing emotional and contemporary stories with great filmmakers is my passion," says Prosteder about her move. "I'm really looking forward to working with the talented team at Constantin Film."

Viola Jäger, Chief Content Officer at Constantin Film, is also enthusiastic: "Magdalena has demonstrated a keen sense for strong material and impressive cinema projects. I am very much looking forward to the joint productions."

Magdalena Prosteder comes from Munich and studied theatre, film and media studies in Vienna. After a German-French postgraduate programme at the Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris, she began her career in 2009 at BojeBuck in Berlin, followed by positions at Neue Schönhauser Filmproduktion, 21st Century Fox and most recently Warner Bros.

Her successfully produced projects include the children's book adaptations "Tom Sawyer" and "The Adventures of Huck Finn", the drama "His Last Race" and the "Rico, Oskar" series. Audience hits such as "Heilstätten", "Rheingold", "Wunderschön" and "Einfach mal was Schönes" also bear her signature.

Recently, "Amrum", a film by Fatih Akin, celebrated its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival - further proof of Prosteder's flair for sophisticated cinema with broad audience potential. She is continuing this success story with her current projects "Ach, diese Lücke, diese entsetzliche Lücke" and "No Hit Wonder", which will soon be released in cinemas.

With Magdalena Prosteder, Constantin Film has not only gained an experienced producer, but also a creative force who will have a lasting influence on German cinema.
