The Kiel "Tatort" team around Almila Bagriacik and Karoline Schuch are back in front of the camera. Nordfilm is producing two new crime thrillers for NDR - with prominent guest stars and exciting stories that will be shown on TV in 2027.
Filming is currently underway in Kiel and Hamburg for two new episodes of the Kiel "Tatort", produced by Nordfilm on behalf of NDR. Once again, Almila Bagriacik as Inspector Mila Åžahin and Karoline Schuch as criminal psychologist Elli Krieger are at the centre of the stories. The films will be produced until 19 November with the working titles Crime scene: The gold spinner and Crime Scene: Who Calls Wolveswhich will be told independently of each other and are expected to be broadcast in 2027 on ARD and in the ARD media library.
In The gold spinner Jutta Speidel takes on the lead role in the episode - her first appearance in the crime series since 1998. The film is directed by Jens Wischnewski, who was awarded the Grimme Prize in 2023. The screenplay was written by Marija Erceg. It centres on the death of a violent football fan whose past reveals a connection to an old, unsolved case. Åžahin and Krieger stumble upon a web of loyalty, lies and guilt that extends into bourgeois circles.
In Who calls wolves the investigators are confronted with an obscure witness: Bus driver Luisa Stade, played by Franziska Hartmann, claims to have seen a serial killer. But her testimony is soon called into question, as she has already given false clues in the past. While Kiel is gripped by fear, Åžahin and Krieger also begin to waver - and start to distrust their own perceptions.
The other actors and actresses include Yorck Dippe, Malaya Stern Takeda, Nicolas Handwerker and Anne Hoffmann in The gold spinner as well as Marius Ahrendt, Karim Ben Mansur, Christoph Letkowski and Berit Künnecke in Who calls wolves.
The producer of both films is Daniela Mussgiller, producer Malin Duggen. Jakob Wiessner is responsible for the camera and Sabine Holtgreve from NDR is the editor. The production is supported by MOIN Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein.
