23/5 Film production was founded in April 2004 by director and author Hans-Christian Schmid. Producer Britta Knöller joined the company in 2005. 23/5 produces a small number of outstanding feature and documentary films for cinema and television. In addition to films by Hans-Christian Schmid (including REQUIEM, STURM, WAS BLEIBT, DAS VERSCHWINDEN), this also includes projects by other authors and directors (e.g. AM ENDEMEN KOMMEN TOURISTEN, LA LISIÈRE, ATLAS). The focus is on the thorough development of sophisticated material for a broad arthouse audience.
