The "Blue Panther - TV & Streaming Award" was presented for the third time on 23 October 2024 at BMW Welt in Munich. A total of 17 trophies were delighted to find new owners.
In the Information / Journalism category, the Blue Panther went to Sophie von der Tann for her reporting from the Middle East and to Andreas Pichler (director) for the documentary "Dangerously Close - When Bears Kill".
In the fiction category, the Blue Panther went to Aaron Altaras as "Best Actor" for his role as Samuel Zweifler in the six-part series "Die Zweiflers" and to Katharina Stark as "Best Actress" for her role as Eva Bruhns in the five-part series "Deutsches Haus". In the fiction category, the Blue Panther also went to Daphne Ferraro as head writer of "Maxton Hall - The World Between Us" and to Marvin Kren as creator and showrunner of "Crooks". NEUESUPER was also honoured for producing and Marcus H. Rosenmüller for directing "Neue Geschichten vom Pumuckl". "Maxton Hall - The World Between Us" was honoured as "Best Series".
In the Culture / Education category, the Blue Panther went to Raymond and Hannah Ley for writing and directing "Ich bin! Margot Friedländer" and to Jan Lorenzen for the book and direction of "Wir waren in der AfD - Aussteiger berichten". In the Social Media category, the Blue Panther Audience Award for "Most Popular Social Media Content" went to Tahsim Durgun for "Danke, hier das Rezept".
The Blue Panther Young Talent Award went to the young actor Lorenzo Germeno for his role as Jannik in "Nackt über Berlin".
Presented as the Bavarian Television Award since 1989, the prestigious award has been presented as the "Blue Panther - TV & Streaming Award" with a new content and modern focus since 2022. In addition to TV, productions for streaming providers or moving image formats for social media platforms can also be honoured. The organiser is Medien.Bayern GmbH. The sponsors of the "Blue Panther - TV & Streaming Award" are Bayerische Landeszentrale für neue Medien (BLM), Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR), Netflix, Prime Video, ProSiebenSat.1 Group, RTL Deutschland, Sky Deutschland and Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen (ZDF) / 3sat. The prize is sponsored by the Bavarian State Chancellery.
