At the end of the year, the FFF Awards Committee for Film and Television Funding met to discuss the projects submitted: 27 projects were funded with a total of 2.9 million euros. Six of the funded projects also received the Intern Incentive Grant totalling 58,000 euros. In addition, the FFF Bayern has currently approved success loans totalling 2.1 million euros for a further eleven projects.

Around 700,000 euros were used to support the release of nine films: Alter weißer Mann (Leonine Distribution), Der Spitzname and Ein Mädchen namens Willow (Constantin Film Vertrieb), Die drei Fragezeichen und der Karpatenhund (Sony Pictures Entertainment), Wunderschöner (Warner Bros. Entertainment), Rabia (Alpenrepublik), Ice Aged (Majestic Filmverleih), Simon aus den Bergen (Cine Global Daniel Ludwig) and Tracing Light (Piffl Medien). With 1.55 million euros, the committee has recommended a further eight new cinema projects in production for funding. This means that a total of more than 5 million euros will flow from Bavaria by the end of the year.

Some of the projects supported are

Extra sausage
It was one of the most frequently performed theatre plays during the pandemic: Extrawurst. Now the Munich production company Lieblingsfilm is working on an adaptation of the same name for the big screen. The film will be directed by Marcus H. Rosenmüller from a screenplay by Dietmar Jacobs and Moritz Netenjakob: at a meeting of a tennis club in the German provinces, the upcoming summer party is discussed: an extra grill is to be purchased for the only Muslim member - and this arouses sensitivities. The discussion that ensues, which deals with all kinds of social and private entanglements, escalates.

Mrs Winkler leaves the house
Writer and director Doris Dörrie's next feature film Frau Winkler verlässt das Haus tells the story of a 79-year-old actress who develops a friendship with a care robot after her daughter and granddaughter are no longer able to look after her. The production company is Cologne-based Zeitsprung Pictures. Filming will take place in Bavaria, among other places.

Tania
Tobias Stille, Thomas Brussig and Elmar Fischer wrote the screenplay for Tania: The Munich co-production by Munich-based production company enigma film with Austria and Spain tells the story of a German undercover agent on two fronts who fights alongside Che Guevera.

Bad people
The comedy web series Schlechte Menschen tells the story of how three experts in the afterlife decide whether the recently deceased end up in heaven or hell. The Munich-based company Hager Moss Film is producing the four-part series for ZDF, directed by Nathalie Lamb based on a script by Julia Mirjam Cantuária.

Zoma
The new Munich production company Story Garden Film is developing the project Zoma: In this legal thriller, a young lawyer has to prove that the therapy AI ZOMA drove her client's son to his death. Between an embittered mother and the questionable practices of the AI developers, she searches for the truth. During the trial, the question of guilt becomes increasingly shaky until the AI itself finally testifies in court. The film is to be directed by Alireza Golafshan, who co-wrote the screenplay with Moritz Binder.
