The European Film Academy has announced the winners of the European Film Awards, which honour the best of European cinema: 1,000 international guests, nominees and presenters celebrated the winners in 22 categories during a festive ceremony at the KKL Lucerne on the shores of Lake Lucerne in Switzerland on 7 December.

With five awards (European Film, Director, Screenplay, Actress and the Excellence Award for European Editing), EMILIA PÉREZ was the winner with the most awards.

The European Film Award in the Best Actor category was presented to Abou Sangare for his performance in Boris Lojkine's "Souleymane's Story". Gints Zibalodis' animated film "Flow" received the award for Best Animated Film, while the prize for Best Documentary Film went to "No Other Land". Nebojša Slijepčević was honoured in the Best Short Film category for "The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent". The European Young Audience Award went to Benjamin Ree's work "The Fantastic Life of Ibelin".
