New forces for rapidly growing tasks. General meeting of the German Screenplay Association (DDV) has elected a new board.
Berlin, 12 March 2025. The members of the German Screenplay Association (DDV) also elected a new board at the general meeting on 14 February in Berlin-Mitte.Â
The new DDV Board is made up of the authors:

The DDV is a fast-growing professional association and is just about to pass the 750 member mark. An average of over 120 members present in person at this year's AGM - including many young members - document the great interest in political co-determination and solidarity among authors.
The newly elected board represents a broad spectrum of experience in the job and in the association's activities. In addition, the deputy board members will ensure that appropriate expertise can be called upon for the DDV's increasingly differentiated fields of activity.
The active working group structures, in which the special knowledge of the members is bundled, such as in the Cinema Working Group, Children's Film Working Group or AI Working Group, are also of decisive importance for the broad-based work of the DDV.
In addition to the negotiations on joint remuneration regulations (GVR), the implementation of the various practice guidelines in the industry ("Script and AI", "Authors in series"), topics such as national and regional film funding, visibility at film festivals, the strengthening of young talent, the implementation of gender equality, diversity and the continuation of successful event formats such as the Screenwriters' Lounge are at the top of the agenda.
