Berlin, 03 April 2025 - The Hauptverband Deutscher Filmtheater (HDF KINO) has strengthened its management team. Jonas von Fehrn-Stender has been appointed to the association's board as 2nd deputy director. With this decision, HDF KINO is focussing on an even stronger member orientation and practical representation of interests.
Jonas von Fehrn-Stender, who has been with HDF KINO for almost six years, will contribute his many years of experience and expertise with additional responsibility in future. As the new 2nd deputy board member, he will remain the first point of contact for members' concerns and will continue to promote the interests of German cinema operators in close cooperation with the board team.
"I am very much looking forward to continuing to support our members in their work and helping to shape the association in my new role as second deputy board member of HDF KINO," says von Fehrn-Stender about his new role. The 41-year-old grew up in a family of cinema operators and has extensive knowledge of the industry, both from the perspective of the cinema operator and the film distributor. This expertise makes him a valuable addition to the HDF KINO board.
Christine Berg, Chair of the HDF KINO Board, and Carolin Lindenmaier, 1st Deputy Chair of the Board, welcome the expansion of the team: "We are delighted that our Board team is now complete again. In his previous work, Jonas von Fehrn-Stender has already shown how important direct dialogue with members is to him. With his valuable experience and commitment, he will be a great asset to the association and the entire cinema industry," say Berg and Lindenmaier.
With the appointment of Jonas von Fehrn-Stender as 2nd deputy board member, HDF KINO is focussing on continuity and further development in the association's work. The association is now even better positioned to represent the needs of German cinema operators and continue to actively support the cinema landscape in Germany.
In recent years, HDF KINO has established itself as an important lobby for German cinemas. With the new board team, the association will further intensify its work and continue to tackle the challenges facing the industry with commitment.
