With "UFA Good Games", the media company wants to tap into new target groups and position itself firmly in the gaming and creator scene.
Cologne/Potsdam, 22 May 2025 - UFA, one of the leading production companies for television and streaming in the German-speaking world, is breaking new ground: with the newly founded label "UFA Good Games" (UFAGG for short), the company is venturing into the world of games, esports and online creators. The aim is to develop innovative, cross-platform entertainment formats that are specially tailored to digital communities and young target groups.
The new label was officially launched on 1 May 2025. UFAGG is headed by Jörg Adami, co-founder of the esports player foundation, and Christian Körner, former Head of Communications at RTL Germany and most recently Director of Communications at UFA. Both have extensive experience in the digital economy, media communication and strategic brand development.
"We want to play on new stages with fresh entertainment ideas," explains UFA CEO Sascha Schwingel. "The games and creator scene is growing rapidly - and we see enormous potential to combine this dynamism with our expertise. The new label is therefore also an important step into the future in economic terms."
First project: The UFA Creator Academy
The first concrete project has already been finalised: the "UFA Creator Academy" is to be launched this year. Here, young talents who dream of a career as a content creator will be specifically promoted and trained - with the support of professionals from the industry.
In addition to his experience in the digital and sports sector, Jörg Adami also has a broad strategic background, including positions at Microsoft and Deutsche Sporthilfe. Christian Körner, on the other hand, is an experienced media manager who will continue to represent UFA in media policy and public affairs.
With "UFA Good Games", the traditional UFA brand is opening up to a new, digital generation - and is thus sending a clear signal for innovation and a new departure in the entertainment industry.
