The TV Series Festival Seriesly Berlin is expanding its industry programme for 2026 with three new initiatives. The focus will be on European collaboration, creative freedom and new business models centred on creator content.
The third edition of Seriesly Berlin will take place from 14 to 17 September 2026 in Berlin. As well as series premieres, the festival offers on 15 and 16 September Once again, a comprehensive conference programme for the international TV series industry.
A key component of the new programme is the European think tank „Stories at Risk: Cultural Diversity, Democracy and Debate on Screen“. The initiative, developed by Seriesly Berlin, brings together writers, producers, broadcasters, festivals and other industry stakeholders from across Europe to discuss creative freedom, social responsibility and the future of audiovisual storytelling. The project is supported by the pilot programme for series co-productions and the Council of Europe’s „Culture on Screen“ programme.
With „Beyond the East-West Co-Production Myth“ Seriesly Berlin is also launching a new partnership with the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. The focus is on the potential for co-productions of TV series between Western Europe and Central and Eastern Europe. The aim is to raise the profile of production structures in the countries of the region and to explore new opportunities for international collaboration.
Another new item on the programme is „Seriesly Creators“, a conference format focusing on creator IP, platform-based entertainment and new series models. Topics include platform-native storytelling formats, vertical series, and the development and engagement of communities around new content.
„The audiovisual sector is undergoing profound change – shaped by technological developments, new economic conditions and increasingly fragmented international cooperation,“ explains festival director Dennis Ruh. Seriesly Berlin aims to respond to this and create a platform for exchange, new ideas and shared perspectives.
The industry programme and numerous premieres will once again take place in 2026 at the Fotografiska Berlin will take place. In addition, for the first time, the CineStar Cinema at the KulturBrauerei has been included as an additional screening venue.
The Seriesly Berlin Pitches once again offer projects at various stages of development the opportunity to present themselves to an audience of industry professionals. Submissions are open until 30 June 2026 possible. The festival is organised by the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg promoted.
