In organisational theory (business administration), a distinction is made between organisational structure (represented as an organisational chart) and process organisation (represented in process maps). In fact, all integrative management systems for quality, risk, environmental protection, energy management and compliance are based on processes. These standard processes do not exist in strictly project-orientated companies, such as film production companies. Here, clear role definitions (what does a production manager do, what does a director do) and interfaces (who reports to whom) are the established organisational form.
